On 29 January 2026, ISSP militants attacked a convoy of the Malian army, Africa Corps, and MSA in I-n-Tabakat (Tidermene, Tidermene, Menaka). Following the attack, the Unified Force of the Alliance of Sahel States announced that it had conducted airstrikes against the militants, killing a number of militants, including a leader called 'Abou Alghabas Ichmali'. Unspecified militant fatalities coded as 3. A Malian security source said that 1 soldier was killed and four were injured, while FLA sources reported that between 8 to 11 soldiers were killed, with around twenty others injured. 4 (3+1) fatalities coded as per the lowest estimate available.
