On 29 January 2026, a patrol of the Malian army, Africa Corps, and MSA clashed with armed militants (likely ISSP, based on location) in the area of Tin Fadimata (Menaka, Menaka, Menaka). In a statement, ISSP claimed to have carried out a complex ambush against a joint patrol of Malian forces and the African Corps in Agare MBaou (coded separately). ISSP said it also attacked a Malian army support patrol near Tin Fadimata. These attacks resulted in the killing and injury of approximately 20 people. Unspecified fatalities coded as 3.
