Air Delivered event in Sagaing, Ngar Pi Oe area, Myanmar on Mon 26th January 2026

On 26 January 2026, in Ngar Pi Oe village (Shwebo township, Shwebo district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military conducted airstrikes and dropped 2 bombs on the village using a jet fighter at around 12:30 am. About 8 civilian houses were destroyed. 3 civilians (a man and a woman in their sixties, and another man) were killed and 9 others (a child, a woman and 7 men) were injured. On the same day, the Myanmar military conducted 3 other airstrikes using a jet fighter at around 1:40 pm. 2 civilians (a man and a woman) were injured. Khit Thit Media, Democratic Voice of Myanmar and Myanmar Now reported that 3 civilians (a man and a woman in their sixties, and another man) were killed and 9 others (a child, a woman and 7 men) were injured. BBC News reported that 4 civilians, including a child, were killed. Fatalities coded as 3, using the lowest estimate.
