On 26 January 2026, in Port-au-Prince - Bas Peu de Choses, Ouest, police forces supported by the Task Force Police (coded as Police Forces) and moving in armored vehicles shot and killed several members of the Viv Ansanm Gang during clashes on Waag, Nicolas, and Chavannes streets, and along Magloire Amboise Avenue. The police used heavy machinery to remove barricades set up by the criminals in the area. Overnight, at least eight additional gang members were killed during a police intervention in Marche Salomon. Two war riffles, ammunition, and other materials were seized. At least 8 fatalities.
