On 25 January 2026, near Ta Po village (Palaw township, Myeik district, Tanintharyi region), a combined force of the Karen National Liberation Army (Brigade 4), the Karen National Defence Organization (Battalion-7 Company-2 and Drone Force), the People's Defense Force - Myeik District (Battalion-1), the People's Defense Force - Palaw (PaKaPha), and the T2 Sky Shadow UAV Forces carried out mine attacks against about 50 Myanmar military troops advancing towards the village. At least 9 military troops, including an officer, were killed, and at least 5 others sustained injuries in two locations. 9 fatalities split across two locations (in Thin Gan Taw village and near Ta Po village), and coded as 4 for this event.
