On 25 January 2026, in Kwee Lar village (coded as Kyaukkyi) (Kyaukkyi township, Taungoo district, Bago-East region), the Myanmar military conducted an airstrike and dropped six bombs with a fighter jet that came from Taungoo airbase at night. A 7-year-old child was killed and three civilians (a 13-year-old boy, an 11-year-old boy and a 9-year-old boy) were injured and five houses were damaged. 1 fatality.
