At around 4:30 p.m. on February 15, artillery fire was launched from the military base near Min Pyin village and from a navy vessel stationed in the Kyauktaw sea toward Wa Myo village. As a result, two residents — five-year-old Ma Khin Htet Htet Soe and forty-three-year-old Daw Khin San Wai — were killed, eleven others were injured, and three houses were destroyed.
