Yesterday (February 15, 2026), soldiers from the Rajamanu Task Force in Mae Sot District, Tak Province, along with local administrative officials and Border Patrol Police Company 346, inspected a suicide drone containing an unexploded ordnance (IED) made of 60 mm PVC pipe that had landed inside the fence of a house in Maha Wan Subdistrict, Mae Sot District, Tak Province

The suicide drone is believed to have fallen several days prior and is suspected to belong to the Karen National Union (KNU), specifically Battalion 28, 6th Brigade, or the People's Protection Force (PDF), groups opposing the Myanmar military junta currently fighting the Myanmar military. The 22nd Light Infantry Division is located near Minlapan, Phalu, and Phalu Noi villages in Myawadi Township, Myawadi District, opposite Mahawan Sub-district.
