Hoax event in New Delhi, Delhi area, India on Mon 9th February 2026

Nine schools in the national capital received bomb threat emails on the morning of February 9, purportedly sent by the Khalistan National Army, triggering immediate action by Delhi Police and emergency services across New Delhi, reports The Tribune. The sender identified himself as Engineer Guranakh Singh Rukan Shahwala. The threatening email claimed that “Delhi will become Khalistan” and warned that a bomb would explode in Parliament on February 13 at 1:11 pm. It also stated that “Punjab has already become Khalistan,” using phrases such as “Punjab hui Khalistan.” Additionally, Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister (UHM) Amit Shah, and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar were described as “enemies of Khalistan,” with the email alleging, “Modi–Shah–Jaishankar walian de dushman.”
