On February 8, a cocktail explosion targeted the residence of Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) candidate Moktar Ali in Keshabpur under Jessore-6 constituency, reports Prothom Alo. Jamaat candidate's chief election agent, Saidur Rahman, read out a written statement at a press conference on February 9, at the municipal Jamaat office on Keshabpur's Municipality Road and stated that two cocktails were thrown at the residence of Moktar Ali of the 11-party electoral unity-supported Jamaat-e-Islami at 1:10 am. This incident is a manifestation of the deterioration of law and order.
