Russians launch snowmobile assault near Korchakivka, first such attack captured on video

Paratroopers from the 71st Separate Airmobile Brigade of the 8th Air Assault Forces repelled an assault by ten Russian troops riding snowmobiles near the village of Korchakivka in Ukraine’s Sumy region.

This is the first recorded instance of a snowmobile-based assault being captured on video. The unusual tactic appears to have been used to increase mobility in winter conditions.

During the engagement, four Russian soldiers were killed, while six were captured and taken into custody.
