In Chauk Township, Magway Region, and the border area with Yaung Oo Township, Mandalay Region, resistance forces ambushed a junta column advancing into villages, killing 11 soldiers.

Around 11:43 a.m. on February 8, joint Ayar Daung and allied units intercepted a roughly 70-strong military column departing from Sing Ka village in Chauk Township. The clash occurred between San Kan and Bo Khone villages near the Chauk–Yaung Oo border, resulting in 11 junta soldiers killed and the capture of two magazines with 56 rounds of 5.56 ammunition.
