On February 7, government troops and allied militia withdrew from two small camps in Naung Mun Township, retreating toward Naung Mun town. After their withdrawal, members of the Putao PDF entered the abandoned sites and cleared the area, recovering planted landmines. They also discovered evidence of drug use, including yaba tablets and heroin.
