In Monywa, Sagaing Region, resistance forces ambushed a military column that had departed from the Northwestern Regional Military Command (NaMaKha), killing six soldiers and seizing two rifles, according to an official from the Burma Liberation Democratic Front (BLDF), speaking to Yangon Khit Thit News.

The attack took place around 7 a.m. on February 5, when joint revolutionary groups intercepted the junta column leaving the Monywa regional headquarters. Six soldiers were killed, and the resistance seized one MA-1 rifle and one MA-11 rifle.
