In Hpakant, Kachin State, a joint KIA force shot down and recovered a military drone that had been dropping bombs near the town, according to a local military source who spoke to Yangon Khit Thit News.

On the afternoon of February 5, near Hpakant town, a joint Kachin Independence Army (KIA) unit successfully shot down a large military drone that had been conducting bombing runs. The drone’s parachute deployed before it crashed, allowing resistance forces to recover it.
