In Laung Lon Township, Tanintharyi Region, an attack on soldiers attending training at the General Administration Department (GAD) office resulted in the death of one soldier, while the military column detained about 20 civilians — including displaced children — to use as human shields, according to a Laung Lon People’s Defense Force (PDF) official who spoke to Yangon Khit Thit News.

At around 9:31 a.m. on February 4, revolutionary forces used drones to drop two bombs on 25 soldiers who were undergoing urban combat training at the Laung Lon GAD office. Many soldiers were reportedly injured in the attack, though the exact number remains unconfirmed.
