In Monywa town, Sagaing Region, junta troops opened fire on a private car, killing the driver and a nearby motorcyclist and injuring four pedestrians, according to local resistance scouts who spoke with Yangon Modern News.

The incident occurred at around 9:48 a.m. on February 3 along Tharsi Road. Troops began shooting at a civilian Toyota Mark II sedan near the University of Education, chasing it down to the Tharsi traffic lights. The car collided with a motorcycle parked by the roadside, killing the delivery rider on the spot. Soldiers then dragged the driver out of the stopped vehicle and shot him in the head at close range.
