Student Revolutionary Force (SRF) units ambushed junta and Pyu Saw Htee combined columns advancing in Min Kin Township, Sagaing Region, resulting in military casualties, according to an SRF officer who spoke to Yangon Modern News.

At about 2:30 p.m. on February 1, a column moving out from Kan village in Min Kin Township triggered landmines planted by SRF forces, sparking a clash. The group reported that junta soldiers were killed and wounded during the engagement.
