Five soldiers killed by landmine while raiding resistance camp in Mying Township.

According to a statement released this evening by the 8 + Anyar Land Operation Force, five junta soldiers were killed when a landmine exploded as they raided a People’s Defense Force (PDF) camp near Twinma village in Mying Township, Magway Region.

The incident occurred on January 31, when junta troops advancing from Oyin village attacked a PDF outpost stationed near Twinma. The group reported that the soldiers triggered an advanced landmine inside the camp, causing the explosion. Three soldiers died instantly, and two more died later in Oyin village.
