An unknown object exploded on Friday evening at a gate to an apartment building in Lorensborg.
– We are searching with the help of cameras and drones for a person dressed in black who was seen running from the scene, said Leif Fransson, police spokesman, at an early stage.
Shortly after half past nine on Friday evening, the police announced that a 15-year-old boy had been arrested in a taxi.
– We have checked several taxis in the area and in one of them we found a young man who matched our description. He could not give a reasonable reason for why he was in the taxi and gave slurred answers. We feel that we have found the right person, says Leif Fransson.
No people were injured in the explosion.
Residents in the affected stairwell had to be sheltered while waiting for the national bomb squad to ensure that there were no more dangerous objects.
The bomb shelters are now complete at the site and no further objects have been found. The cordons will remain in place until the forensics team has completed their work.
