Video footage shows a group of sicarios from the Mayiza faction of the Sinaloa Cartel conducting a patrol in Durango state. The heavily armed gunmen are outfitted in full tactical gear and body armor. Among their weapons are a .50cal Barrett anti-materiel/sniper rifle and an M240 machine gun. Also visible on the vehicle's dashboard is a Starlink terminal, reflecting a trend that has become widespread among Mexican cartels in the past year for maintaining reliable communications in remote or contested areas.
