Two young men were killed after stepping on a landmine along the Uru Creek road between San Kywel and Phar Pyin villages in Phakant Township, Kachin State, according to a local witness.

The incident occurred around 11 a.m. today, February 4, when the two were riding a motorcycle from San Kywel toward Phar Pyin and hit a landmine near Uru Creek.
