A person assisting war-displaced people said that one civilian was killed by heavy weapons fire from military council forces on the western side of Phaykhon Township, near the Shan State–Karenni State border.

With no clashes taking place, at around 9:30 a.m. on February 6, the Phaykhon 336 battalion fired one artillery shell into an area where civilian residents were present, killing 56-year-old U Soe Na and seriously injuring another person.
