On January 25, a fresh encounter broke out between Security Forces (SFs) and terrorists in Kishtwar District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), reports Daily Excelsior. This was the third encounter in the Chatroo belt in the past week as the Army and Police continued operations against a group of three Pakistani terrorists affiliated with the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), despite heavy snowfall. The latest exchange of fire began around 10:20 pm when a joint search party of the Army and Police launched operations in the Janseer-Kandiwar forest area. Intermittent gunfire was reported as SFs returned fire.
