A Baloch young labourer, Tahir Baloch (21), son of Mulla Nisar and a resident of Koshkalat, was allegedly shot dead by the members of “death squad” (state-backed armed group) in Tump tehsil (revenue unit) in Kech District of Balochistan on January 21, reports The Balochistan Post. The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) said Tahir Baloch came from an extremely poor family and worked as a part-time labourer to support his household. Eyewitnesses cited by the BYC said the shooting was “deliberate and unprovoked.”
