SAA event in Maharashtra, Juhu, Mumbai Suburban District area, India on Mon 2nd February 2026

On February 2, multiple rounds of gunfire were reported outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s residence in Juhu, Mumbai, in Mumbai Suburban District of Maharashtra, Lawrence Bishnoi-linked Bishnoi gang later claimed responsibility for the firing incident, reports NDTV. Bike-borne assailants allegedly fired five rounds before fleeing the scene. Mumbai Police arrested four accused and placed them in custody. Preliminary investigations indicated links to Shubham Lonkar, an associate of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Security in the area has been intensified amid concerns over repeated threats to Bollywood personalities. Further investigation is ongoing.
