During a massive attack, the Russian army used Zircon missiles against the 750 kV Kyivska substation, which connects the Rivne Nuclear Power Plant with the capital and provides a significant part of Kyiv’s electricity supply.
This was stated by energy expert Stanislav Ignatiev, chairman of the Ukrainian Renewable Energy Association, on Kyiv24 television.
‘The optimistic forecast for Kyiv is that the next two weeks will be quite difficult: there is significant destruction and significant damage to certain facilities in the city of Kyiv,’ he said.
