On 15 January 2020, Turkish warplanes conducted airstrikes in Digure (Dugure) village in Ninewa province, targeting YBS forces, which resulted in killing 4 of them including a high-ranking commander. Turkish media only confirmed the death of the commander, some sources have reported up to 11 fatalities, but YBS confirmed 4 fatalities.
