On 22 January 2026, SPLM/A-IO and NAS members launched a targeted attack against an SSPDF outpost along the Yei-Morobo Road in Gulumbi Payam (Morobo County, Central Equatoria State). SSPDF forces repulsed the attack and shelled the opposition positions.
