On 21 January 2026, suspected Malay Muslim separatists detonated an explosive and set fire to trailer trucks inside a sand warehouse compound along the Sungai Kolok River in Kwalo Sira village, Pa Semat, Su-Ngai Kolok (Narathiwat), destroying two truck heads but causing no casualties as the site was unoccupied at the time.
