On 16 January 2026, in Pauk Taw village (Sagaing township, Sagaing district, Sagaing region), the combined troops of the People's Defense Force - Shwebo District Battalion - 17 Company - 4 (Acid Column), the People's Warriors Special Guerrilla Force, the Gun Star Youth Guerrilla Force, the People's Security Force - Minkun area, and local people's defense forces attacked around 20 Myanmar military troops stationed in the village around 6:45 am. 10 military soldiers were killed and around 20 were injured. A member of the combined troop was killed and one was injured. Total fatalities coded as 11.
