On 16 January 2026, in Tabayin town (Tabayin township, Shwebo district, Sagaing region), the combined troops of the People's Defense Force - Tabayin (PaKaPha), the YEU Column, and the People's Defense Force - Shwebo District Battalion - 24 attacked the Myanmar military troops that advanced to find food provisions with mines in the morning. 2 military soldiers were killed and 3 were injured. 2 fatalities.
