On 16 January 2026, in Cariacica (Espirito Santo), unidentified armed men beat, shot and killed a drug trafficker in the Flexal I neighborhood. The perpetrators are unknown. The deceased had been in and out of prison since February 2013 for homicide, drug trafficking, and conspiracy to traffic drugs, and had been granted parole in May 2022. 1 fatality.
