On 16 January 2026, near Ma Thon village (Padaung township, Pyay district, Bago-West region), a joint force of the Arakan Army (ULA/AA) and allied forces intercepted and attacked the column with 100 military soldiers, which came to support the military forces trapped between Defense Equipment Factory (Ka-Pa-Sa 16) and the 666 Point Hill camp, in the morning. The armed clash lasted for half and hour and the Myanmar military also responded with airstrikes using drone and paramotors. Casualties unknown.
