On 16 January 2026, in Caracas - Libertador (Distrito Capital), an unidentified gang shot and killed a CPNB officer, who was undercover investigating their drug trafficking activities, in Block 28 of the Caricuao parish. The officer was discovered while conducting intelligence work near a home. He was injured during a shootout with the gang. He was taken to a hospital, where he died. 1 fatality.
