On 16 January 2026, armed raiders from Unity State's Mayom County (likely members of the Bul Nuer community, who are predominant in the area) clashed with locals (likely members of the Apuk section of the Rek Dinka community, who are predominant in the area), during a coordinated cattle raid by the former targeting Gok-nyuon, Abuok Maroldit and Lueel villages in Mangol Apuk area, Toch East Payam (location coded to Toch, the nearest known location in Gogrial East County, Warrap State). The incident resulted in at least 8 fatalities and 7 injuries, while several hundred cattle were raided. Locals pursued the attackers (no further information).
