On 15 January 2026, 15-20 BLF militants launched coordinated attacks in Kharan city (Kharan, Balochistan), targeting the City Police Station, National Bank of Pakistan, and Habib Bank Limited. Militants looted Rs 3.4 million and attempted to take hostages. Military forces and frontier corps personnel responded, killing 12 militants in three separate engagements. Three Frontier Corps (FC) personnel were also injured. Three civilians were also wounded when two rocket shells hit a house, during the clash. 12 fatalities and 6 injured.
