On 15 January 2026, in Uruara (Para), two unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle killed, in a drive-by shooting, a man on Para Avenue near Cacau Square. The attackers opened fire, striking the man multiple times and killing him at the scene, while a second person was injured by gunfire and taken to hospital. The man was suspected of involvement in a previous homicide linked to a dispute over drug trafficking point. The attack was suspected to be a retaliation. 1 fatality.
