On 15 January 2026, government security forces (SNA) and AUSSOM UPDF troops clashed with Al Shabaab in the vicinity of Buulo Nagaad village (Marka, Lower Juba). The operation was supported by an airstrike from international forces (coded as Unidentified Military Forces). More than 30 militants were killed.
