On 15 January 2026, Wazalendo from CPC/FDP clashed against M23 in Bumbasha (Bwito, Rutshuru, Nord-Kivu) and Mubirubiru (coded separately). Light and heavy weapons were heard and suicide drones may have been used. Several civilians were injured over the course of three days of clashes in the area, in Bumbasha, Kivuma and Kanyangohe. Combatant casualties unknown.
