On 14 January 2026, in the rural area of Mingueo corregimiento (La Guajira), military forces clashed with at least 17 members of the Javier Caceres front of the ACSN, including one of their leaders, during a special security operation that included support from armed helicopters, the bombing of an ACSN camp, and exchanges of gunfire. The suspects managed to flee unharmed. Following the clash, security forces seized war material, nine landmines, two pickup trucks, ammunition, and communications equipment. There were no casualties.
