On 14 January 2026, in Rio Largo (Alagoas), two unidentified armed individuals shot and killed a woman in the Demorisvaldo neighbourhood. The perpetrators broke into a house looking for a man, who was a drug trafficker and the target of the shooting. The man tried to escape and the perpetrators fired against him, shooting the man's aunt, who was also in the house. She was shot and killed. The perpetrators escaped. The authorship and motivations are unknown. 1 fatality.
