On 14 January 2026, government security forces (SNA) and Jubaland security forces clashed with Al Shabaab in Boqoqaha, Garas Kukiye, and Hajini areas near Gurmadka village (Kismaayo, Lower Juba), Wadajir, Xaliima Caddey, and Buulo Xaaji villages (coded separately). 5-12 militants were killed. Fatalities coded as 12 based on Local Network and Shabelle Media Network (latest reports). 12 fatalities split across 4 events and coded as 3 for this event.
