On 14 January 2026, members of the Luach-Jang Dinka community clashed with their counterparts from the Jalwau section of the Rek Dinka in Kongor area (Tonj East, Warrap), resulting in at least 27 fatalities while hundreds of cattle were raided from the Jalwau section. The clash was linked to revenge between the 2 groups (no further information). Government personnel intervened and calmed the situation.
