On 14 January 2026, FARDC carried out a drone strike on Kalundu harbor (Bavira, Uvira, Sud-Kivu). FARDC said it was a misfire of artillery fire by M23 while independent reports maintain it was a FARDC drone strike that targeted an M23 intelligence base. M23 said there were some civilian fatalities. Unspecified fatalities coded as 3.
