On 13 January 2026, in Launglon township (Dawei district, Tanintharyi region), the local resistance groups attacked the Myanmar military soldiers stationed in the township police station, the township office of the Chief of Military Security Affairs, the township general administration office and Kanbawza bank at around 6:00 am. The Myanmar military fired heavy weapons during the armed clash. Some civilian houses were destroyed. The fighting lasted about 1 hour. Casualties unknown.
