On 13 January 2026, around 6:15PM, Israeli forces exchanged fire with Hamas militants, west of Rafah, coded to Tal as Sultan (Rafah, Gaza Strip). Israeli forces killed 6 militants with tank fire and airstrikes after they fired at Israeli tanks. According to Palestinian media, two Israeli soldiers were injured in the clashes. This event occurred in an Israeli-controlled area of the Yellow Line.
