On 13 January 2026, in Culiacan Rosales, Sinaloa, unknown armed individuals shot at military officers, state police, the Navy and the officers of the Attorney General's Office and threw tire spikes on the road to avoid being chased in Colonia Tierra Blanca. Police officers shot back and managed to seize one truck, weapons, ammunition and magazines, among other. Officers received a report of an armed attack in the neighborhood upon which they arrived and were attacked. There were no casualties.
