On 13 January 2026, near San Antonio Zaragoza, Hidalgo, one armed man shot at municipal police officers who were carrying out surveillance patrol on the Actopan-Progreso highway. The officers shot back at the man leading to chase, which ended in San Antonio Zaragoza. The man was arrested as a result. There were no casualties.
