On 13 January 2026, in Cariacica (Espirito Santo), unidentified armed men exchanged fire with, shot and injured a drug trafficker in the Flexal I neighborhood. The military police approached the drug trafficker, who was injured in the middle of a street, and arrested him. There were no fatalities.
